A couple of years ago my husband and I built a house in Marble Falls, a beautiful town where most of my extended family lives. The house is on an amazing cul de sac lot with tons of trees and a giant porch. We created an open plan kitchen with a 10 foot bar that is perfect for entertaining. The entire house is stained concrete and has windows in both the front and back that open to create a lovely breeze, allowing it stay cooler in the summer. While we loved the house we missed our friends and living in Austin. Now we live in an adorable 1920 home in Westlake that was featured in Austin monthly Home.

Check out the pics from the party. These are just a few. The Screen print was a complete Success! Loved the Truffles and Cocktails, people couldn't get enough. Miss Laura Elizabeth's new fall line was enough to make me pass out I wanted one of the agate necklaces so bad! Bebe Dulce and the pink baby tutus are darling!!

Flanked by my best friends, sexy husband, mom, grandma, aunt, cousin and my favorite designers I accepted the award for "Best Decor Boutique" Reader's Choice on Sunday at the Austin Fashion Awards. The fun event included great music, fashion shows, the red carpet, and a kickin after party.

Tuesday I received an email that we won again in the category of "Best Gifts"

CommonThreadz is an amazing non profit that makes a mission out of fashion. Their three unique collections each have their own goals and all of the shirts are funky and fun.

Sanctuary and CommonThreadz hooked up after I read about them on Austin Tidbits and was just so impresssed by this cool organization. Sanctuary is now a Common Threadz Retail Angel. We donate all of the proceeds from the sale of the shirts to the organization and the kids. We dont keep a dime. Austin Fashion Week is July 13-19. It will feature somewhere on the order of 120 events throughout the week at some of your favorite boutiques and salons. Each boutique and salon will be hosting one fantastic Austin-based designer to give you an idea of the level of talent we have swimming around in our fair city. It's free to attend most of the events, but you can also buy a "Passport to Fashion" starting Thursday morning through the official Austin Fashion Week website. Passports are $20 and give you a 10% discount at all of the participating boutiques and salons. Better yet, for every boutique and salon you visit during Austin Fashion Week, you get a stamp. Each stamp gives you a chance to win a $5000 Austin Shopping Spree! Keep reading for a full participant list.

MOd Green POD

Mod Green POD has such cute fabric and wall paper! Now that all my friends are having babies and decorating nurseries I cant help but check out babies rooms constantly. Apartment therapy showcased an adorable nursery using their fabric.. They also do Wallpaper (which you can order though Sanctuary!) that would make and adorable backdrop to a crib

Kandle Kidswear, first of all is absolutely adorable. I had been seeing them around town and loved the modern twist on the Texas theme. Here is a little scoop on these super talented ladies...

"Kandle Kidswear are two great friends and busy Mamas, Kim Rodriguez and Laura Dooley (or K & L, hence "Kandle"), living in Austin, Texas. Laura had been making shirts for her children, and then made a felt dinosaur shirt for Kim's little guy Max. Kim and Max loved the shirt so much, it just went from there!"
